Had a lovely stay! The riverside beer garden was perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking. Clive and Mel went out of their way to make us feel welcome, even serving breakfast earlier when I needed to leave early. The home-cooked meals were delicious and reasonably priced. The cozy double room was comfortable and clean.

The peaceful riverside beer garden adds charm.
Arriving to a dirty room was shockingly disappointing. Clearly, cleaning standards need serious improvement, as my new room had multiple issues to address. A noisy toilet, limited plug sockets, and inadequate blackout blinds all contributed to a frustrating stay. I expected better from a hotel in this price range.

dog friendly policy, charming beer garden, decent bar food
Rooms are small and boiling!!! Limited menu options that could use expansion!!! Road noise and commotion from guests disrupts sleep!!!

The bar served a nice selection of local beers, which I really appreciated. The freshly cooked breakfast hit the spot, with good options like poached eggs on toast. The beer garden was lovely, perfect for an evening drink. Unfortunately, my room felt a bit cramped and lacked air conditioning, making it muggy at times. I expected a bit more space, especially for the price.

Couple paradise for a getaway
The home-cooked food was exceptional, especially the hospitality from Mel and Clive. They made us feel like family. One evening, we sat in the beer garden enjoying a lovely local ale while discussing our day, it was just picturesque.
It wasn’t the cheapest stay, but for the experience it was worth it.

Had an amazing time with friends! The beer garden was beautiful and perfect for our evening hangouts. We loved hiking and exploring the local trails during the day. Clive and Mel were super friendly, always ensuring we were comfortable. The breakfast was hearty, keeping us fueled for our adventures! I’d recommend grabbing a beer in the garden and enjoying the lovely atmosphere.
The room we stayed in felt a bit dated and could use some updates. While it had a comfy bed, it lacked a shower.
